I almost never say this, but sometimes you need to streamline just a little bit. Just a little bit! And these are my answer to that. They still give all chunkiness and all the length but without the chains there's just a sleeker line happening. This means they plays really well with a necklace that has lots of chains, you know, by offsetting it if you don't want to go whole hog (although whole hog is a viable look too!). Or they amplify when you've gone simple on other aspects of your look.
And I don't know, for me this earring style just anchors an outfit. Whether it's on its own or in combo, it brings weight and depth and just kind of connects things up again. I'm a big fan of putting this style on when I'm confused about what I'm going to wear, one or two of these and I'm already on the right track - the outfit just builds itself.
Like all my bigger earring designs, it was made after I made vow that no statement earring should have to be jettisoned half way through the day or night. So despite it's heft it's light enough to wear all day and night should you be so inclined.
Plus these are made to stick around. We hand make our pieces in 100% recycled silver so that we aren't extracting new silver from the earth, so that the earrings are strong and substantial, and so that if and when the time comes for a spruce up, they can be re-polished and re-plated like new.
